Mgr. Jan Šural

Conservationist

Nature has always been my greatest passion and hobby. I joined Save-Elephants at the beginning of 2022. I enjoyed the field mission in the Republic of Congo and look forward to the next one. At the same time, these missions are a big step out of my comfort zone, but if we want the iconic large animal species there to survive the pressure of the growing human population, we have to work directly on the ground. What I like about Save Elephants is that it combines nature conservation with helping local communities, which I consider ideal. I also try to help the organization from my home base in the Czech Republic. Here, I am also involved in field conservation with the ČSOP Jižní Čechy association. I speak English, Spanish, and am now learning French for Central Africa. My other hobbies include reading, listening to music, and photographing animals.
