Vojtěch Koštíř studied invertebrate zoology at the Faculty of Science, Charles University. He has been interested in nature and its protection since childhood. and at the age of 16, he and his colleagues founded the Pražská pastvina association, which is dedicated to nature conservation on the western outskirts of Prague, where they mainly care for valuable communities of dry grasslands and flower-filled meadows, but also look after old orchards and establish new meadows and orchards in fields to create islands of biodiversity in the agricultural landscape.
He is currently involved in nature conservation in the city, where he negotiates with landowners and city districts with the Čmeláci plus association to create meadow areas. He is also the editor of the environmental program Nedej se on Czech Television. He volunteers for Save-Elephants in the field in Congo.
